ABOUT ME

Hi there, my name is Nieke.

Welcome to my website. I studied Graphic Design, BA (Hons) at Academy of Arts & Design St.Joost, Breda (Netherlands). I found that my work contains highly illustrative content, so I decided to deepen myself within that field by taking part in Illustration Design courses at the University of the Arts London: Central Saint Martins.

This website shows several examples of my illustrative work and other design projects that I have been working on. I like to set up designs by hand but I'm also very proficient in the Adobe programs.

I am Dutch but I've been living in London for some time now. I have a great interest in museums, the cultural sector and temporary exhibitions. Creating an outstanding experience for visitors. I have been working in the Visitor Experience department for some of the most leading museums; The Victoria & Albert Museum, The British Museum, Museum of London. And currently at Serpentine Galleries in London’s Hyde Park. I also took part in an evening studies in Curating & Exhibition Management at City University of London.

Before I moved to London I was volunteering as a Visitor Assistant at Dick Bruna’s Miffy Museum. This children’s museum is part of Centraal Museum in Utrecht, The Netherlands.
